What is this service?

ERCA supports adults with a mental health condition, including those affected by dementia, stroke, brain injury, and neurodivergency, as well as their carers, across Essex.

The service encourages social engagement within the community and provides practical assistance with everyday life skills, enabling clients to live healthier, more organised, and happier lives. Support visits take place Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 6:00pm and can last from 2 to 6 hours, depending on individual needs.

Activities may include sorting paperwork, shopping, support with education, attending social events and meaningful community activities, participating in exercise classes, or engaging in physical activities such as walking, swimming, or cycling. Support is also available for attending health appointments, including visits to doctors, dentists, and opticians. We also provide a sitting service, giving carers time to relax or meet with friends, with the reassurance that their loved one is receiving safe, personalised support.

In addition, visits provide carers with valuable respite and the opportunity to speak with someone who understands their situation and offers empathetic support.

An hourly charge applies.
