What is this service?
The Family Support Group delivers family support groups and one-to-one support across Essex to help families or friends dealing with drug and alcohol misuse.
The groups are no more than ten and there is 1-2-1 support available before, during and after the 7 week course.
The groups are led by a facilitator who provides information on what addiction is and how it affects people physically, mentally and emotionally. The aim is to empower you to make positive change and build healthy new relationships. The course covers:
- Boundaries and consequences
- Positive Behaviour
- Drug awareness education
- Appropriate support of users
- Addiction information
