What is this service?
Gateway Juniors, is a youth club for young people aged 16-25 years with a learning disability. The club is held on Tuesday evenings, 7-9pm. In-house sessions are held at Mencap Centre, Mildmay Road, Chelmsford.
Gateway Juniors offers sports and dance workshops and arts and crafts, puzzles and quizzes. Members enjoy trips to restaurants, theatres and community events. They also have access to many of the special events organised by the Gateway Club, including their quarterly pub quizzes and discos.
Gateway Juniors provides an opportunity for young people with a learning disability to socialise with their peers in a safe and supportive environment and to continue their development in fun and engaging ways.
