What is this service?
Barrow Farm offers horse riding and carriage driving lessons for people with disabilities.
Riding can provide physiotherapy and exercise, a chance to learn, the opportunity to make new friends, build self esteem and confidence and all this while having FUN.
To be eligible the person needs to be aged over 5 years and weigh less than 12 stone / 76 kilos for horse riding and less than 15 stone / 96 kilos for carriage driving, live within 30 miles of the riding centre and not ride elsewhere. To maintain your place an attendance level of 70% is expected.
Riding lessons run September -July and carriage driving lessons run March - November.
