What is this service?
Walking Football is a variant of the more widely-recognised small-sided football format and it is aimed at keeping people of any age involved with football if, due to a lack of mobility or for other reasons, they are not able to play the traditional game.
It is held every Wednesday 5-6 pm at the Upper Plume Academy's Astro pitches on Fambridge Road, Maldon. Both men and women aged over 50 years are welcome to join in.
Participants just turn up and play. Two teams are created and a game is played for an hour. The sessions are run by FA accredited coaches.
