Movement Music and the Mind Exercise Classes for carers and those living with Dementia
What is this service?
Essex Dance Theatre have been granted some funding from ‘ECC Community Funding’ to run 6 weeks ( free ) Dementia exercise classes for those living with dementia with their carers.
When: Starting 24 April 2025. Thursday 10.30-11.30 At: ECC Essex Dance Theatre Studios, Dorset Ave, Great Baddow, CM2 9UB. Ample Easy Street Parking, but very limited disabled parking on site – 2 bays. It is a school car park during the day.
What: The class will use various stimuli in a seated circle with opportunities to progress to standing, balancing work and where appropriate travelling.
Why: Funded by Essex County Council Community Fund – FREE 6 weeks trial. A physical and social opportunity to come together.
Wear: Comfortable movement clothes. Non slip, clean soles footwear – Large dance studio ( Ballet sprung floor with barres and mirrors).
